Using TripAdvisor to Help with Trip Planning

The first travel website that I am going to tell you about on my blog is my personal favourite. TripAdvisor can be very helpful in planning  hotel stays, find restaurants and even things to do in places large and small all over the world.   This website provides user’s reviews on hotels, restaurants and attractions, and ranks them based on how people rated them.  It also has a booking feature, with comparable prices but there are many other sites that do this better.  It is the reviews and ratings that make it so useful. Most hotels and many bed and breakfasts are on the website.  On our first family trip to Disney World back in 2011, we chose the Holiday Inn in Walt Disney World in large part due to the reviews on TripAdvisor. Everything they said in the reviews was correct including how nice the rooms and pool were, the high level of service, and the frequency and punctuality of the shuttle to the parks. My New Blog: Be Your Own Travel Agent

Welcome to my third blog called Be Your Own Travel Agent! It is connected to my most recent one,  Top 10 Planning Questions for a Disney World Trip .  But I started to realize a couple of important things.  I don't just enjoy (and am good at) planning trips to Wait Disney World, but other places too.  And there are plenty of blogs, websites and guidebooks about WDW, but very few about general trip planning.   Which websites to use for air, hotels and rental cars; how to save the most money; whether to fly or drive; and how to plan for yourself, your family and kids to name just a few topics.  I have learned many tips and tricks over the years of planning my own trips.  In this blog, I will share them with you so that you too can be your own travel agent!                                    You might ask why wouldn't someone just use an actual travel agent.  There are a few good reasons.  You just want to do it yourself, but just aren't sure how.  Some trips are too small fo
